I'm in the throes of a new and wonderful book by best selling author, Malcolm Gladwell, titled "Outliers".
Once again I am impressed by his accuracy and his ability to not fall into the trap of what is expected. He is so refreshingly revealing. You move on to each next chapter anticipating the discovery of what else you got wrong. I would love to share a meal with this guy.

- I am a black woman born in the first half of the last century.To date I have been alive for Presidents Truman through Obama. I live in a large urban area that has seen better economic times.I know that it will recover, and that I will be one of the reasons it does.My education includes public and parochial schools,an all girls' Catholic high school, and a large urban university.I grew up in a public housing project, and my family is huge and extended.I have been married for over thirty years and we have 6 children between us. I got to the age I am much sooner than I thought. I'm now getting to all the things I used to think I had plenty of time for.
